2010 Dec 18th

Dear Histamine Friends,
I wish you a

A very merry Christmas and a Happy New Year

Another year is coming to an end and we are now looking forward to what the next year 2011 might bring to us.

I has been a very exciting year. The 39th meeting of the European Histamine Research Society was held in the wonderful medieval city of Durham, England. However, it was some excitement before the meeting could take place as we had for the very first time to postpone a meeting due to the volcano ash cloud from Iceland. The meeting finally took place on 13th to 16th of July 2010. It was en excellent scientific meeting, and many thanks go to the organizer Paul Chazot. For the first time it was a joint meeting with COST Action BM0806 ‘Recent advances in histamine receptor H4R research’. All about the meeting, abstract book, photos etc can be seen on this website: ‘Previous Meetings’.

Paul Chazot is still responsible for the scientific part of the website. We have a special area of HOT NEW PAPERS. You are all regularly requested to add interesting papers and short expert reviews. If you have a paper that you think would fit in please contact Paul Chazot paul.chazot@durham.ac.uk. If you have old programmes (or old pictures) at home lying around I am particularly interested to add information to our website about earlier meetings that we lack information about. Please tell me and send to me especially about the meetings: Seville 1997, Kuopio 1990 and any meeting between 1972 and 1979.
  • New election at the 2011 EHRS meeting:Our Treasurer Patrizio Blandina has been on the post for three election periods and we thank him for excellent work during these years. This means that we have to vote for a new Treasurer at the General Assembly meeting at the EHRS meeting in Sochi.
