There are three types of membership of EHRS: ordinary, corporate and affiliated and honorary (life).
Membership is open, on application to the President and on approval by both the Council and General Assembly, to all scientists and clinicians engaged in histamine research. The membership fees are currently 50 EUR or 50$ for full members and 25 EUR or 25$ for those under 30 years of age.
Corporate Membership is open to all organisations who express an interest in writing and who are not rejected by the President and Council. The President or the Treasurer will negotiate the financial contribution of the prospective corporate member.
The highest award is that of honorary membership and it is only given to very special society people. To obtain Honorary membership, the person has to be elected by over two-thirds of the ordinary members at the General Assembly.
